Terms of Use of HOMEOCO

HOMEOCO is a conversational chatbot designed to help users explore how homeopathy describes different situations and experiential patterns in classical literature, for educational and informational purposes only. It also provides access to a directory of partner professionals or pharmacies.

These Terms of Use (ToU) govern the use of HOMEOCO by users as well as the commitments made by HOMEOCO in providing the service.

Provisions related to the management of personal data are included in the HOMEOCO Privacy Policy, accessible at any time.

1. Definitions

In these ToU, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

  • HOMEOCO : HOMEOCO SAS, a simplified joint-stock company with a capital of 1,000 euros, headquartered at 358 Route d’Uriage, 38320 HERBEYS, registered with the RCS under the number [number].
  • Conversational Chatbot : An interactive automated dialogue interface allowing the User to explore educational content related to homeopathy and its descriptive frameworks.
  • User Account : A personal account enabling the User to review their exchanges with HOMEOCO and access their usage history.
  • Partner Professional : A healthcare professional trained in homeopathy or a pharmacy, registered and referenced on HOMEOCO.
  • Data : All personal information provided by the User and processed by HOMEOCO.
  • Pre-Selection : An educational presentation of homeopathic descriptions and remedy profiles as found in classical literature, based on the User’s answers. This does not constitute a diagnosis, recommendation, or treatment guidance.
  • Service : All educational features offered by HOMEOCO, including interactions with the chatbot and access to informational resources and professional directories.

2. Acceptance of the Terms of Use

By using HOMEOCO, the User unreservedly accepts these ToU. They are accessible at any time through the chatbot interface. HOMEOCO reserves the right to modify the ToU at any time. Any modification must be accepted by the User to continue using the Service.

3. Services

HOMEOCO offers Users the following services:

  1. Interactive dialogue to explore how homeopathic literature describes various situations and experiential patterns.
  2. Educational presentation of homeopathic remedy profiles and descriptions as they appear in reference works.
  3. Contextual information on the criteria and reasoning used in classical homeopathic texts.
  4. Access to a directory of Partner Professionals (homeopaths or partner pharmacies) for discussion and further information, outside of the HOMEOCO service.
  5. Educational documentation related to homeopathy and general health awareness.
  6. These services may evolve or be modified at any time, provided that their educational purpose remains unchanged.

4. User Account Creation and Access

4.1 Account Creation

Access to certain HOMEOCO features, such as session history or extended usage limits, requires the creation of a User Account. To do this, the User must provide personal information (name, first name, email) and create a password.

If the User is a minor, their legal representative must create and manage the Account.

4.2 Account Access

The User Account is secured with a username and password. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of these credentials. HOMEOCO cannot be held responsible for unauthorized access due to negligence in their management.

5. Use of the Conversational Chatbot

HOMEOCO is designed exclusively as an educational and informational tool to support the understanding of homeopathic literature.

5.1 Educational Exploration

Based on the information provided by the User, HOMEOCO presents educational content illustrating how homeopathic authors describe situations and experiential patterns.

This content is purely informational and has no diagnostic or therapeutic value.

The User must provide accurate information. HOMEOCO disclaims any liability arising from incorrect or incomplete inputs.

5.2 Service Limitations

HOMEOCO is not a healthcare professional and does not provide medical diagnoses, prescriptions, or treatment recommendations.

The information provided by the chatbot must not be interpreted as medical advice and should always be considered independently from any healthcare decision.

6. Partner Professionals

6.1 Access to Partner Professionals

Users may contact Partner Professionals (homeopaths or partner pharmacies) to independently discuss health-related questions or seek professional advice, outside of the HOMEOCO service.

6.2 Relationship with the Professional

HOMEOCO does not intervene in the relationship between the User and the Partner Professional. All consultations, advice, and medical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the Professional.

7. Data Security and Confidentiality

7.1 Data Protection

HOMEOCO implements technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of collected Data, in compliance with applicable laws.

7.2 Data Hosting

User Data is hosted in France on certified servers compliant with applicable data protection regulations.

7.3 Right of Access and Rectification

Users may, at any time, access their personal Data, request its correction or deletion through the HOMEOCO interface.

8. HOMEOCO’s Responsibility

HOMEOCO is committed to providing a quality educational Service but is bound only by a best-effort obligation.

HOMEOCO cannot be held responsible for decisions made by the User or for any actions taken based on the information provided by the Service.

9. Service Availability

HOMEOCO makes every effort to ensure the availability of its Service. However, temporary interruptions may occur, particularly for maintenance or updates.

10. Account Closure

10.1 Closure by the User

The User may close their Account at any time. Their Data will be retained for 60 days to allow retrieval, then deleted or anonymized.

10.2 Closure by HOMEOCO

HOMEOCO reserves the right to close an Account in case of violation of the ToU.

11. Intellectual Property

All elements of HOMEOCO, including its interface, content, and algorithm, are protected by intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.

12. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These ToU are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought. If no resolution is found, the matter may be submitted to the competent jurisdiction.
